When You're stuck below 500 or just somewhere near it after MONTHS of MCAT content review and practice... something Has to change

When we were studying for the MCAT, the same questions kept showing up:

  • How is it that I'm pouring in endless hours of MCAT studying with nothing to show for it?
  • What do I do when I've studied as hard as I can, learned enough of the concepts, but my MCAT score doesn’t improve?
  • Why is scoring over 510 (or even a 505!) on the MCAT so much harder than expected?

It's extremely frustrating when you don’t know if the prep you’re doing is ACTUALLY helping!

When you know the concepts better each time, but AAMC practice exam scores aren't changing by much.

Out of all things we didn't know, we knew ONE thing for sure:

If current scores kept up, we were not getting in to med-school.

At this point, we knew something had to change.

We had to figure out how to dominate the MCAT once and for all...

And we did.

We're Your MCAT Mastery Mentors

In the last 2 years alone, we’ve helped a combined total of 500+ students (one-on-one) with increasing their MCAT scores!

Here are 6 other quick facts about us:

  1. 1
There are over 30 of us on the team.
  2. 2
We ALL scored somewhere between 511 and 526.
  3. 3
The average of ALL our scores is 519.
  4. 4
We ALL had a particular point where we shifted our focus to strategy and our scores skyrocketed by 10+ points in just days/weeks.
  5. 5
We ALL had a difficult MCAT prep journey.
  6. 6
NONE of us were “naturals” at standardized test-taking.

If you clicked on the button above and skimmed our bios, you must have noticed that we all saw our scores plateauing, not improving, some of us even experienced scores going DOWN...

But there came a moment where it clicked. We figured out the correct way to study, practice, and think to succeed on the MCAT.

We're here to show you exactly what we did.

If you're just starting MCAT prep: We're about to save you a lot of pain and wasted time/money/energy.

If you're in the middle of MCAT prep: The struggle ends here.

We promise, you're about to feel a lot more confident in your MCAT score and your med-school future.

It's Time To Stop Letting The MCAT Shatter Your Confidence... You Have What It Takes To Beat This Exam And Get Into Med-School

MCAT prep was pretty brutal for all of us. There were moments along the journey that destroyed us on a cognitive, mental, and emotional level, in a way that no test has been able to do before...

And that is exactly why we're so passionate about helping others through this massive obstacle to med-school.

The majority of us studied on our own which didn't help because it's easy to feel alone on this journey...

Thinking you're the only one who's having THIS much difficulty with the MCAT.

It wasn't until we started tutoring other premeds for the MCAT that we realized for 90% of MCAT testers, this statement sums what you already have or will experience at some point in your MCAT prep:

"I Don't Know What I'm Doing Wrong!"

MCAT Frustrations - MCAT Mastery

It’s a scary thought because when you don’t know what you’re doing wrong, you don’t know what to do to fix it.

You don’t know how you’re ever going to reach your score goal.

At the lowest points and especially when retaking, many compromise on their score goal and med-schools they’d be willing to attend.

Some even give up their physician dreams completely.

Many of us had that thought too but almost every time our mind went there...

We’d bounce back in anger (many don’t) because it didn’t make ANY sense!!

HOW can we NOT figure this out?! All of us wondered some variation of:

"I'm Smart! I've Done Pretty Well So Far So Why Doesn't My MCAT Score Reflect That?!"

A recent student signed up for tutoring and said:

“I am a strong academic student with a passion for biology, biochemistry, and even culture/arts, so why isn’t my score encapsulating that?”

disappointing MCAT score

An actual MCAT Mastery mentor's scorecard.

You'd think with a background in Bio and Biochem, getting over a 500 should not be this hard. Especially if you've been studying for so long.

We did well in school but the same study techniques weren’t proving to be successful when it came to the MCAT.

No premed knows how to approach these kinds of problems which we were never exposed to in school.

We were never taught how to:

  • Absorb such a massive amount of content with so much detail and store it in memory for an exam that's 2-6 months in the future!
  • Apply memorized content to tricky questions based on confusing passages with long paragraphs and 2-4 figures per passage (most of the time you get to the passage and everything looks foreign)
  • Maintain stamina and focus for an exam that's 7.5 hours long and not run out of time!! (Most of the time you're forced to guess)
  • Balance everything else going on in life (job, school, extracurriculars) while studying for an MCAT of this size for several months
  • Think critically in general, but especially for such unfamiliar sections like CARS and Psych/Soc

And as you know, the list goes on.

If you’ve done well as a premed and have a decent GPA, you know it shouldn’t be hard for you to conquer an 80+ percentile on the MCAT.

And you know what?

Today we can confidently say that you’re absolutely right.

We know for a FACT, from first AND second hand experience that it can be done with the right methods.

As long as you're willing to improve your way of thinking, as long as you're open to learning new methods and dropping inefficient ones, you're going to get into med-school.

In fact, even if your GPA isn't that great and you're hoping the MCAT can make up for it, you have a better shot at beating the smartest students who will be testing with you on exam day...

Why Almost Every Premed Is Stuck In the 490s-505 Range And How To Finally Break Through

What are your options when your score is low? How do you improve your score goal to get to a competitive level?

As premeds, since we've never studied for an MCAT exam of this size; with this much content, with this length...

When diagnostic and initial practice exam scores are disappointing, we resort to our 'college exam' way of doing things:

The Predictable Premed Attempt To Improve MCAT Scores

"More Content Review!!"

Most premeds (we did as well) think the reason their scores are low is because you didn't learn enough of the information. You didn't memorize it enough. You didn't review it enough. You didn't learn enough of the details. In short, we tend to go hard on content review. Memorize more, memorize harder, and reread notes "so it sticks better this time!"

"More Practice!!"

Of course, if you know all the content, you're just not practicing enough. You're not doing enough practice questions. Maybe you do more practice exams to get familiar with the style of the exam. But passages are still confusing, the questions still trick you, you still choose the wrong answer, you still second guess yourself.

"More/Newer Resources!"

The next temptation is to blame resources. Maybe your current one doesn't work for you. Maybe you need to diversify. Too many premeds spend more time/money searching and buying extra unnecessary resources in hopes that different explanations and software will do the trick. The content alone is overwhelming, adding more resources gets to be too much.

The Result of the Attempt

On average, after months of effort reviewing content (too much), practicing more (using exams inefficiently), trying new resources (wasting time and money), and maybe even a retake...

Most students get the content down pretty well!!

Which is some good news right?

But what happens when they do?

Their score hovers around a 500.

If they're applying some good strategy unconsciously, then maybe in the low 500s. But usually in the 495-505 range and doesn't move much after that.

Typical premed progress after months of inefficIent prep
Current Progress
Current Progress
Current Progress

Stuck in 495-505 range

Many students also come in having a decent background knowledge of the content from pre-reqs and having done well there, and right off the bat are scoring near 500, but that score doesn't move for weeks or months after.

The above is the story of the average student. Which is why the average MCAT score, the mean, is a 500.9. The average score for those who get in is 511.

If you Keep studying the Same way every premed studies, you'll get the Same score every premed gets.

Almost every premed is good at getting a decent grasp of the content. They've been practicing that skill since high school.

AAMC is looking for the above-average. Those who will be able to succeed in med-school. Those who will be able to succeed as future doctors.

So getting beyond the average mark (500) and reaching 511+, you need to do something that the average test-takers DON'T do...

Content Review Will Only Take You Near The 500s - Here's What Will Get You To 511 and 515+

Content review is extremely important and we're not discounting that. It's your foundation...

But it won't get you a 511+ MCAT score. Which means it won't get you med-school admission.

It's MCAT strategy that will.

MCAT Mastery Strategy System

MCAT Strategy: Another Buzz Word?

We know MCAT strategy is a really broad term. We also know it's not new to you.

It's been tossed around so much that it seems like another buzz word.

But what does it really mean? Here's how we define it:

MCAT strategy is your approach, your methods, your system to achieving your highest potential MCAT score.

After years of researching and analyzing top MCAT scorer success strategies, we've developed that system to unlock your maximum MCAT score.

In fact, we've broken down "MCAT Strategy" into 9 different tiers.

The 9 Levels Of MCAT Strategy That Make Up The Complete MCAT Mastery System

Click for full screen

If you master each level, there is no question in you achieving a score not just over 511, but a 515+ also becomes an extremely high possibility.

There is no question you'll be closer than ever to your med-school dreams.

We'll explain each level in detail, but before we go any further, why should you believe what we're saying?

Who are we to give you credible advice?

How Do We Know What We Know? Why Should You Bother Taking Our Advice?

Let us tell you where all this information is coming from.

This is really important for you to know for two reasons:

  • First, we all know credibility is extremely important in the online world where nearly anybody can post anything! That’s why we tell students to be careful in getting advice from forums or online groups.
  • Second, if you know where this information is coming from, you’ll value it more. If you value it more, you’ll have more motivation to actually 1understand the true depth of what's being presented to you here and 2) actually take action on the guidance you're about to receive.

With that said, there are two categories that are the source of how we figured all of this out:

Experience and Research

Our Experience

Going through the MCAT and achieving a competitive MCAT score

First, the most obvious; all the mentors on the team scored 511 or higher on the MCAT. Our cutoff used to be 514/515 (90th percentile) but some 511-513 scorers have had insanely fast score increases. Ryan Anderson for example, increased his score by 25 points to a 513 in 6 weeks. Andrew Mannisto increased his score by 11 points to a 511 in 2 weeks, after retaking 3 years later.

More important than our scores however, is that we all struggled on that journey. None of us are naturals with standardized test taking. We all had to adapt strategies to increase our scores when we were stuck and feeling lost.

This is important because as your MCAT mentors, if we couldn’t relate to you, it would be hard for you to trust what we’re saying. So we want you to know that we’ve all had to make it through the MCAT, many of us without this kind of support system. Imagine what you could do WITH this support system.

Helping 500+ students increase their MCAT scores

In 2019, we started formally working with students one-on-one in tutoring sessions, helping them increase their MCAT scores and achieve med-school admission. We've learned SO much about the variety of pain points students have during MCAT prep. We've addressed each one. We've come up with solutions to each one. And continue to do so.

We've helped retakers, nontrads, students with learning disabilities, busy schedules, and more. We know the difficulty of this journey intimately and that’s why we’re so passionate about guiding you through it without the stress that we know you don't have to endure.

Our Research

Interviewing Top MCAT Scorers Since 2015

If you’ve been with us for a while you already know this but, over the last 5+ years, the admin team at MCAT Mastery has researched and interviewed countless top MCAT scorers to find out exactly how they approached MCAT prep to get their competitive scores.

  • We ended up discovering the common patterns in study habits and the highest yield strategies, which resulted in a PROVEN complete system to study for the MCAT from start to finish.
  • We still hold these interviews today and you can hear many of them on our podcast and YouTube channel. Note that all top scorers we interview are verified and have to submit their score reports to share their insights.

The Switch To "Fast MCAT Score Increases"

There came a point when we found some top scorers had really fast score increases and that’s when our attention shifted from..

“How do you score high on the MCAT?”

To “How do you improve your score really quickly when your test date is coming up soon?”.

We of course, found the patterns and systems for that too.

Today, we're the only organization that places this much focus on FAST score increases.

Which means the sooner you can hit your score goal, the sooner we can move on to helping others.

Our success as a company is not defined by how many times you buy our services (profit), it's defined by how fast you can succeed and become self-reliant.

Putting It All Together: So What Happens When...

A team of individuals (mostly future doctors) who are passionate about helping other future doctors, collect the insights, lessons, and strategies from the MCAT prep experiences of over 100 Top MCAT Scorers (including their own), extract the patterns, focus specifically on fast score increases, test the strategies for effectiveness through one-on-one tutoring and in their own MCAT prep, collaboratively build them into a step-by-step system, and then optimize that system for the next 2+ years? After 400+ hours of studying, Julia found herself plateauing in the mid 500s just 6 weeks before her test date. That's when the strategy clicked and her scores jumped to 513-519.

Ultimately in those final 45 days, she managed to increase her to score by 10+ points and achieved a 518 (96th percentile) by test day! Julia also scored in the 99th percentile in CARS!

Having to manage a full course load, work, extracurriculars and more during her MCAT prep, Ariana went from scoring in the 490s to a 515 on the MCAT in just 3 months, with a 98th percentile CARS score.

Today Ariana is in her second year of med-school and has a much more evolved perspective on how to learn for a med-school type exam like the MCAT.

After almost 3 months of content review, Aly found herself hovering at a 500 and constantly getting stuck at certain scores; a 505 for 4 tests in a row at one point, and a 508 on 7 tests in a row when she was retaking!

She revamped her approached with a focus on mindset and strategy and in the last 3 weeks before her MCAT, she raised her score by 12 points, from 508 to a 520!

Despite receiving poor practice scores and feeling lack of motivation to study, Mehul made the commitment to focused strategic studying and in 3.5 months, took his score from the low 500s to a 524 (100th percentile) on test day!

Mehul has been teaching in some form for over 7 years and is incredibly passionate about helping students overcome their mental barriers to succeeding on this exam.

After initially struggling with practice exams, Pooja improved her strategy and confidence for the MCAT and increased her score from a 499 to 508/509 in her first 4 weeks of full time studying!

That's where she hit a hard plateau but once again, revamped her strategy and with less than 30 days left before her MCAT date, she once again skyrocketed her score to 522!

After 4 months of content review and plateauing scores, Emily's score only improved by 4 points (from 503 to 507)! She was managing a full course load and a part-time job, while trying to figure out how to reach her score goal.

That's when Emily revamped her focus on strategy + practice, and 2 weeks later, she DOMINATED the MCAT with a 518 (96th percentile!) score! In less than 14 days, she increased her score by 11 points (even seeing an 8 point increase in just 1 week!)

We Also Have Guest MCAT Strategy Course Instructors

Although not in the majority of videos, these awesome instructors will show up in a few video lessons to blow your mind with their best MCAT strategies.

Ayesha - MCAT Tutor

After rescheduling her MCAT two times, Ayesha started with a 503, but in just 1.5 months, increased her score by 14 points and achieved a 517! She credits this to quick content review, plus a much greater focus on strategic practice and improving her mental/physical health!

517 MCAT Scorer
Arvind Rajan - HS - MCAT Mentor

Struggling with his schedule and not knowing how to study efficiently, Arvind figured out the right strategies and mindset to eventually increase his score by 18 points from a 499 to a 517 on the MCAT in a month and a half!

517 MCAT Scorer
Serena - MCAT Mastery Mentor

After getting a disappointing first MCAT score result and 499 diagnostic score in May, Serena began focused strategic studying in June and in about 6 weeks she managed to skyrocket her score to a 519 by test day!

519 MCAT Scorer
Henry - MCAT Tutor

Studying before completing pre-reqs and working full time to support his family, Henry struggled with MCAT prep. Just 5 weeks before his test date he was stuck at a 500. But in those last 35 days, he boosted his score by 16 points to score a 516 on his actual MCAT!

516 MCAT Scorer
Savannah Runge - MCAT Tutor

For months, Savannah kept getting the same MCAT practice score of 505 and was extremely discouraged. Then with just 3 weeks (21 days) left, she revamped her strategies, got past her self-doubt, and increased her score by 12 points to a 517 by test date!

517 MCAT Scorer

Here’s what other Students are saying about your MCAT Strategy instructors

Julia gave me valuable strategies that shot my scores up in every section, and quick too!

“I had to retake my MCAT and after my first time taking it was very unsure of where to head towards or how to fix my mistakes. Julia was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging! We were able to come up with an attainable and doable study schedule, as well as explore my mistakes and my strengths to make sure I was well equipped and calm for test day."

Taylor Jamali

Pooja gave me the strategy and confidence I needed to perform better on practice exams with my highest being a 511.

“My tutor Pooja was PHENOMENAL!! I got into a rut during studying where a month before my exam I scored a 501 which was 3 points lower than my highest score of a 504.  I just received my results and I got a 508 which I am happy with! Pooja helped me recognize where weak spots were and helped give me useful CARS strategy and overall lifestyle tips for pre-test day. Thanks Pooja!”

Emilia Chapa

I'd taken the MCAT once before last year and got a 508, and I just received a 515 after working with Emily!

“I absolutely loved working with Emily . She helped me hone helpful strategies section-by-section and provided me with the confidence I needed to score well. My original frustration was running out of time on the first section, and Emily was so helpful in helping me figure out how to better manage my time and do the math quickly. I also figured out how to master the memorization required for psych/soc. I am so thankful for MCAT Mastery and happy with my improved score!!”

Julia Deziel

I was able to raise my score 19 points to a 515 in about 6 weeks from all the tips [Ariana] gave me..

"Ariana helped me so, so much. She was really able to understand where I was getting stuck and why and then how to help. Ariana was able to really emphasize how important going through the passage was and understanding the details in it to bring it all together, which is something I was continuously getting tripped up on... ."

Annabella D.

[Mehul] helped me improve my confidence and understand the MCAT does not control you, but you control how you will tackle and succeed on the MCAT.

“Working with Mehul was great! I learned so much from him! He took his time to provide insightful responses to my questions. He helped me improve my confidence and understand the MCAT does not control you, but you control how you will tackle and succeed on the MCAT. I learnt that mindset plays a huge role in preparing for this exam.”

Lela S.

Now, I get almost all math questions right, and my C/P score has increased with every practice exam! I don’t know what I would have done without Emily.

"Chem/Phys has always been very difficult for me, and after seeing plateauing scores, I knew I had to do something different if I wanted to reach my goal score... Emily was able to help me pinpoint my weak areas and we realized I needed help with MCAT math... she was able to revamp my attitude towards the C/P section and showed me the necessary shortcuts to make MCAT math possible for me."

What's Inside The Complete MCAT Strategy Course

10 Modules | 52 Chapters | 268 Video Lessons

The structure of this course is based on the "9 Levels of MCAT Strategy" we mentioned above.

Each module is dedicated to mastering one level. As you progress through each level/each module, you'll move closer to your dream MCAT score.

It is indeed, a complete system, to master the MCAT once and for all.

Module 1: Strategic MCAT Planning

Some students study for the MCAT full time. Most have other commitments. Almost none know how to plan for a long-term exam of this size and importance. Almost none know where their time is best spent studying. So many of us learned this lesson the hard way. A few literally had to retake the MCAT because we didn’t plan properly.

When you build your MCAT study schedule and plan strategically, you dramatically reduce the difficulty of the test and the mental anguish that accompanies it. It becomes easier to reach your score goal because you have a trustworthy roadmap. You feel confident that as long as you stick to the process, your score will improve.

In this module, you'll learn everything from deciding on prep resources while taking your budget into account, to establishing your study plan (macro) and building out a strategic MCAT prep schedule (micro). One which is based on your unique situation, that evolves and/optimizes with your MCAT progress.

Module 2: MCAT Content Mastery

We were incredibly overwhelmed and shocked after discovering all the content you need to learn for the MCAT. There’s A LOT of material to study and learn. Even though it’s content you’ve seen before, it feels like you can never relearn it all.

You don't want to focus too much on aspects that are not as important and focus less on more important ones. And even when you find the most important information, how do you memorize everything? The problem is we’ve never studied for an exam that’s 3-6 months in the future. So everything you memorize in Week 1 MUST be readily available in the week before MCAT day.

Getting a mastery of the content is the FOUNDATION to your MCAT studying. If you’re struggling here, learning the test-taking and practice strategies won’t be as effective. Your practice exams won’t be as effective. The sooner you get this down, everything else becomes A LOT more effective.

With the proven content memorization and understanding strategies in this module, you'll be doing full lengths while most are still trying to make notes from prep books. If you're scoring below 500, this module is key for you.

Module 3: MCAT Testing & Passage Mastery

Do you ever feel like you have the knowledge necessary to answer the questions, but you don’t connect it with the passage questions? This happened to us a lot. We’d often shake our head because we feel like we know the questions we’d get wrong.

How do you deal with confusing passages, getting stuck on a problem, getting down to two answer choices but choosing the wrong one, trick/trap questions and answer choices, test-taking anxiety, finishing on time and not guessing, and a whole host of other struggles that comes with specifically the style of the MCAT?

Most premeds have no idea. Test-taking strategy is understanding how to approach the passage of an exam like the MCAT, something you've never faced before.

In this module, we walk you through highest yield strategies on how to get through the MCAT passages, how to see MCAT questions for what they're really asking, and how to go through the answer choices to always find the right one.

Module 4: MCAT Practice Mastery

If practice exams aren't used properly, they're wasted. Especially if they're AAMC material, which are most important, but also limited. Too many students don't know how to maximize the value of every practice exam, yet practice exams are the highest leverage TOOL to develop the thought process to master med-school exams (i.e. exams like the MCAT).

Practice exams can be your worst enemy or your best friend during MCAT prep. How you approach them (your strategy) determines what they'll be for you. You're looking for that moment it 'clicks' when you're either reviewing or doing a practice exam. When it does, all because of practice exams, your MCAT score is sure to skyrocket.  This module is about getting it to click for you.

Module 5: MCAT Chem/Phys & Bio/Biochem Mastery

For Chem/Phys & Bio/Biochem, the dense passages with tables/figures are especially confusing. It's so easy to get mixed up with concepts and equations when trying to answer questions or not read questions carefully enough the first time. How do you know what's important and what isn't, and apply that to the questions?

So many of us also struggled with misinterpreting graphs/tables as well. Then you need to know how to apply formulas, use no-calculator math, solve calculations, make connections, deal with complex biological pathways, and so much more. Diving headfirst into trying to master these sections without any strategy is a recipe for non-stop frustration and disappointment.

This module is an entire course on CP & BB Mastery that we sell separately. In this module, you'll learn CP/BB specific strategies to master everything mentioned above. You'll learn how to get hints from the passages/context and use the passage to your advantage.

This module comes with 40+ video AAMC passage dissections/breakdowns so you can not only learn the strategies but see how they're actually APPLIED when testing.

You'll get a full walkthrough of a passage, where you can peek over the shoulder of a top MCAT scorer, see how they think through AAMC passages, find the main ideas, learn what they focus on, how they analyze figures/charts, interpret questions, dodge tricks and traps, and get to the right answer every. single. time.

*Note: The AAMC passages won't be displayed on screen and you'll need to purchase them separately to follow along, which is highly recommended regardless!

Module 6: MCAT CARS Mastery

Just like nearly every other premed, we just couldn't improve on this section after going through one brutal passage after another. You're learning an entirely new skill for this section. A new way of thinking. And for most who don't even realize that's what is needed in the first place, they're really going to have a hard time here.

For CARS, the passages are even more dry, unclear, and boring, filled with details you get lost in, than all the other sections. We all know it's important to find the main idea. But how do you find it accurately after one quick read? It also has the most tricky questions out of all the sections. Because of all this, this is also the section that most students never finish on time.

Without strategy, this section is known for bringing many premeds to tears. Misinterpreting the author, lack of passage understanding, and narrowing down to two answer choices but choosing the wrong one, happens the MOST in this section.

This module is also an entire CARS Mastery Course that we sell separately. In this module, you'll learn exactly how to think critically, how move through passages with speed, which will help you dominate the other sections as well.

This module comes with 40+ AAMC video passage dissections so you can not only learn the strategies but see how they're actually APPLIED when testing. You'll get a full walkthrough of a passage, where you can peek over the shoulder of a top MCAT scorer, see how they think through AAMC style passages, find the main ideas, learn what they focus on, how they interpret questions, dodge tricks and traps, and get to the right answer every. single. time.

*Note: The AAMC passages won't be displayed on screen and you'll need to purchase them separately to follow along, which is highly recommended regardless!

Module 7: MCAT Psych/Soc Mastery

For P/S, known as "CARS 2.0", is perceived as the easiest section but it comes with its own frustrations like a massive list of terms to stay on top of, trick answer choices, and calling for max stamina as the last section of the MCAT.

That burnout issue at the end is real. Most don't realize that's the reason this is the section that we all second guess ourselves on the most. It's the last section yet it demands the same cognitive power as the first section which is extremely hard. You end up mixing up concepts/definitions, not being able to recall information you know you have studied before, narrowing down to two but choosing the wrong one, and overall not being confident.

However one thing is for sure; this section is easier than the rest. With the strategies you'll learn here, this section can be your 131 or 132 on your scorecard to give you the added boost in your overall score. This section is not to be taken lightly, which is another mistake too many students make.

This module is also an entire MCAT Psych/Soc Mastery course we sell separately. In this module, you'll learn how to master Psych/Soc concepts with flashcards, how to identify P/S groups and variables, how to understand research statistics, biases/researchers, how to get through P/S specific passages/questions/answer choices, and so much more.

This module comes with 10+ AAMC video passage dissections* so you can not only learn the strategies but see how they're actually APPLIED when testing.

Module 8: MCAT Exam Day Mastery

Exam day is overlooked by majority of MCAT testers but top scorers on the other hand, use it to their advantage. Whether you realize it or not (if you're a re-taker you know what we're talking about), the way exam day goes can make or break your score.

For example, how do you deal with hard questions on exam day? Or an especially hard overall exam? How do you deal with test day anxiety? How do you decide when to void vs score your test? How do you prep the week before? The night before? The morning of?

Most MCAT prep companies and teachers will ignore preparing you for exam day. Some give you generic advice you probably already know.

If you apply the strategies in the other sections, you're already ahead of most test-takers. But if you ALSO apply the strategies in this module (and the next), start preparing for med-school interviews.

Module 9: MCAT Mindset Mastery

Another highly ignored aspect that is also tested on the MCAT. The sheer pressure to do well on this one exam if you want to be a doctor, is one of the biggest reasons a lot of premeds give up their dream to become a doctor. Take that in.

This exam tests you on every level; your mental, emotional, spiritual, and even physical tenacity will be tested. If you don't have the right mindset strategies, you will not achieve your highest potential MCAT score - no question.

A negative mindset and emotional state will hinder your learning abilities, and therefore keep your score low. Half the battle is not letting that pressure get to you and there are strategies, specifically for future doctors like yourself, to make sure you get through the MCAT prep journey in a calm, confident, and uplifted state. Strategies that we've used and included throughout this course...

Unlike the other modules in the Complete MCAT Mastery System, this module isn't just a 'level' you master so you can move on to the next. Like the "Strategic MCAT Planning" module, the mindset work needs to be done ALL throughout your MCAT prep.

Which is why, this module doesn't get a section of its own, instead the video lessons for this module are interspersed throughout the course at the end of nearly every module, so you can get a new top MCAT scorer mindset/perspective constantly to keep you motivated, confident, focused.

Module 10: Post-MCAT Guidance

Once you've taken the MCAT, your mind may be swarming with thoughts. It's not always a 'relief'. Many of us who scored 515+ left the MCAT room thinking we bombed! Not knowing what to do, how to react, how to feel, how to plan... post-MCAT can be a major struggle.

We're not going to leave your side after your MCAT is done - especially after everything we'd have gone through together by now!

Which is why we created a bonus module that you're ONLY allowed to open after the MCAT is done 😉

This is where you'll be able to ask your questions, learn from other student's questions, see live passage breakdowns, and get the overall live support of a top scorer who has been in your shoes, as well as that of other students who are going through MCAT prep.

If you can't make it to a session, recordings will always be available to view later. You'll also be able to send in questions beforehand.

P.S. IF we can figure out the logistics and carve out the time, we are also thinking about facilitating MCAT study group sessions amongst all the members. Since this is the first time we're doing something like this, we don't know how smoothly we'd be able to pull it off with the amount of people we have on the admin team, so we're not making any promises here, but definitely a potential :)

Access To MCAT Mastery's "Hidden Online Gems" Complete Database!

A lot of top MCAT scorers never buy an official MCAT prep course or enrol in classes, yet still score in the 90th percentile. How? The internet is an amazing place for those who are writing the MCAT.

There are free gems available to you that can take your MCAT studying proficiency to a top-scorer level. However, it's all about knowing where to look. The problem is that it takes time, effort, and persistence to dig through the entire internet, to clear out the junk, and find the best of the best resources. Plus, we as your new MCAT Success Mentors, don’t want you to waste that precious MCAT study time and energy to look for it yourselves...

Which is why for this bonus, we will provide you with all of those powerful MCAT study resources out there used by top MCAT scorers (that you may or may not have found on your own) as a free bonus.

P.S. This section ALSO includes complete MCAT study notes written by 99th percentile scorers. These are extremely valuable supplements during content review.

MCAT Master Downloadable Worksheets & Templates

Figuring out how to structure your schedule, how to track weaknesses, and a lot of other little things, takes a lot of time during MCAT prep. You need to use that time to study. Which is why we're going to give our templates to you.

We'll be giving you access to downloads that are PDFs and spreadsheet templates than many top MCAT scorers have used and optimized along the way. This includes our infamous MCAT Mastery Mistake Tracker & Analysis Worksheet which A LOT of 515+ scorers give credit to.

MCAT Master Interviews mp3 Downloads Complete Library

As you know we've been interviewing top MCAT scorers for many years now. We've published a lot of these interviews but inside this member's area, you'll get access to interviews that aren't available elsewhere. Plus you'll be able to download them.

Listening to top MCAT scorers share their insights and journey is extremely motivating when feeling frustrated, upset, or discouraged during  prep. It makes you realize that there are those out there who are doctors today yet struggled with the same things you're going through. It makes you realize that you can follow in their footsteps and you can achieve your dreams.

Guided 4-Phase MCAT Meditation & Visualization (For Daily Use)

The MCAT gets stressful and if you've been in our community for even a day or two now, you know we're huge proponents of meditation and taking care of your mindset. Nearly every top MCAT scorer on our team practiced some form of mindfulness and meditation during their MCAT journey. But meditating can be hard as well. When you just can't get your mind to calm down and your thoughts to stop distracting you. Which is why we've created a guided meditation specifically designed for you as your studying for the MCAT. We've broken it up into four phases; Presence, Gratitude, Your Vision, Compassion. You'll listen to it once (or twice) a day during your MCAT prep, and each time you'll get up feeling confident, motivated, grateful, and at peace.

Access To MCAT Mastery's Complete Database of MCAT Mnemonics

One of the best tools to hack MCAT content mastery is leveraging MCAT mnemonics. Over the years we've collected a whole arsenal of powerful mnemonics that you can use to easily remember MCAT concepts. These are the same mnemonics that countless top MCAT scorers have used, created, and contributed to our team. This collection is available privately only to members of this course. The user interface has a show/hide function for you to consistently test your memory with the mnemonics :)

Here’s How Our MCAT Strategies Have Helped Students Achieve 510+ Scores In The Past

Our previous MCAT strategy guide (in PDF form) was much less comprehensive, much less structured, and only contained less than 30% of the strategies in this course, yet it still yielded a lot of top MCAT scorers.

Jennifer Nedimyer

From 501 to 511 in 30 days

"With only 1 month left before my second MCAT... I began to see my score increase by several points each time!"

After the disappointment of my first MCAT, I continued studying using a self-paced course ... after another 2 months went by without any significant increase in score, I felt defeated. My fiancé was the one who suggested trying MCAT Mastery. I had actually heard of it really early on in my prep, but I assumed it was a hoax. (Guaranteed score improvement as such a low cost? No way.)

But as soon as I bought the Top Scorer MCAT Strategy Guide ... I realized how wrong I had been. With only 1 month left before my second MCAT, I was already deeply focused. I followed the guide's advice about how to prepare in the last month of your study, and I began to see my score increase by several points each time!

".... I am starting my 6th week in medical school, and I don’t think I would have made it in without your programs tips and my successful retake! Thanks again for all the MCAT support!

Melanie Ledding

From 505 to 517 on the MCAT

"After reading the strategies, I completely revamped how I reviewed my exams..."

Reading the MCAT Mastery Guide strategies was one of the best things I did to prepare for my MCAT. I read it after having taken some practice exams without seeing any increase in my test score. I was panicking as I was only scoring around 505 and I knew I needed at least a 515 for the schools I was interested in.

Worst of all, my scores were very unbalanced between sections with my lowest score being the physical sciences with a 124. After reading the strategies, I completely revamped how I reviewed my exams and shifted my focus to tackling my worst sections with a vengeance. I’m totally thrilled that I scored a 517 and even happier to have brought my worst section score up to 129. I credit the majority of my progress to following the advice in the MCAT Mastery Guide.

"I wish I'd found it sooner..."

"I highly recommend the Top Scorer MCAT Strategy Guide!... I wish I'd found it sooner. Sure I knew the content, but I had no idea how to take the actual exam.

It provided loads of tips on how to structure your study strategy and how to approach the problems. The study plan advice was especially helpful to me since I was self-studying and designing my own strategy."

What You Can Expect Within The Next 30 Days

Our goal is to get you thinking like a top MCAT scorer, like a future doctor. That's the key. We're not here to stuff your brain with more information. We're here to evolve the way you think. Once you 'get it', once it clicks for you like it did for us, here's what you have to look forward to:

A Dramatic Increase of Confidence Going Into The Exam

Once it clicks, you'll find that for the first time in a long time during MCAT prep, you’ll have clarity. That moment of clarity is priceless. It’s a moment where you’ll be thinking “I got this.” That restoration in confidence will propel your score increase even more as you'll choose the right answer with more certainty and not second-guess yourself. That confidence will carry over to when you're walking into test day. The best part is, once you master the MCAT with these strategies, you'll be confident going into med-school because now that you've learned how to think for this kind of exam, med-school is going to be a smooth ride where you can actually enjoy the experience, and not stress throughout.

A Fast Score Increase: 10+ Points In Less Than 30 Days

Remember: we've interviewed and researched specifically those top MCAT scorers who had a giant spike in their MCAT score. Not only that, but nearly every top MCAT scorer on the team here, had that experience of scores skyrocketing in just days/weeks. PLUS we've helped countless students do the same through one-on-one tutoring sessions and other resources (see reviews!). It all comes back to that 'click'. When you understand how to memorize, test, practice, and dominate each section of this exam, your scores will jump with every practice exam. Ironically, some part of you might wish your test date was further because you know where your score could end up at your current rate of increase ;)

Finish The MCAT On Time With Complete Focus Throughout

When you learn how to think for this exam, you'll finish each section and the whole exam on time by identifying and solving the root cause of why your timing isn’t where it needs to be. You'll stop losing focus. When you lose focus, you become anxious and your confidence falls, which further impacts your timing and severely destroys your scores potential from increasing.

The worst feeling is skipping passages or guessing on an answer choice during an exam. It just throws you off and affects performance for the rest of the test. We've been there. The biggest cause of timing issues is not comprehending the passages and information given to you in the first read. Not being able to grasp the most important details quickly. Your mind isn't trained yet to spot the necessary details from the unnecessary ones. Especially in CARS. With the approaches you'll learn in this course, you'll be ready.

Master Your Most Frustrating Section(s) Holding Your Score Down

We all had that one or two section(s) that pissed us off the most!! *cough* CARS/CP *cough* You know which those are for you!

For each of these sections, you'll learn how to identify your weaknesses and fix them. You'll learn from 130+ scorers in those sections, who started in the low-mid 120s. And you'll learn how they raised their scores.

Did you know there's a way to analyze MCAT passages and questions so that they can GUIDE you to the right answer choices? You'll learn this key skill for each section.

You'll finally get why certain answers are wrong and why others are correct (especially useful during the many times you’re stuck between two or more answer choices).

More Than $5,000 In Value, But MUCH Less In Price

To get everything this course offers separately, it currently costs over $5,000. But the enrolment fee is just a fraction of that.

More Value Than 100+ Hours of 1-On-1 Tutoring

Getting a top MCAT scorer to work with you one-on-one just for 30 hours costs $1347 (and that's our price which is incredibly more reasonable than everything else out there).

The best part? There's A LOT more than 30 hours of content available in this course. More like FIVE times that.

Think about the Passages Dissections in Modules 5-7 alone; 100+ video lessons with a 130+ scorer of that particular section walking you through entire AAMC passages.

To cover just that in 60 min one-on-one sessions for just all sections, you'd need at least 70-80 sessions with an MCAT coach; that's easily close to $4,000 just for dissections, and that's IF the MCAT tutor's are even available!

The instructors walking you through those passages, are the BEST of the BEST in those sections, who being our top tutors and being in med-school, have limited availabilities.

There are A LOT more students who are struggling with the MCAT than we can work with one-on-one. Which is why we’ve done the next best thing and created this online video course with 250+ video lessons designed to help you increase your MCAT score FAST.

If you know us, you know our mission is pairing affordability with high quality guidance to help you become the doctor you were born to be. So if tutoring is not in your budget but you still need the help, then this course is PERFECT for you.

2 Key Top MCAT Scorer Mindset Shifts: The MCAT Is Your Opportunity - Not Your Enemy

1] The smartest time to learn how to study for a med-school exam is for a med-school exam that can make or break your med-school future.

When do you plan to learn "how to study for a med-school type exam" like the MCAT?

Let's say with a mediocre MCAT score you manage to get accepted to med-school...

Do you plan to evolve your study habits when you're in med-school AFTER you've paid a 5-figure tuition? When you have 3 of these kinds of exams showing up weeks apart? If you're struggling now, how much do you think you'll struggle in med-school?

If you had the slightest thought of giving up because this exam is too hard (like many of us did), what's going to happen when you're in med-school dealing with this non-stop?

FACT: You're going to have to learn the top MCAT scorer/future doctor way of thinking/learning AT SOME POINT.

The smartest time to learn how to study for a med-school type exam is when you're studying for a med-school type exam that determines if you'll take an exam like this ever again in med-school!

The smartest time to learn how to study for a med-school exam is for a med-school exam that makes or breaks your career.

THIS is the time to use the MCAT as an opportunity to become a master at thinking like a future doctor.

That's exactly what this course is designed for.

2] With a strategic approach, the MCAT becomes an opportunity to stand out in the sea of 50K+ applications in this year.

According to the most recent AAMC stats:

  • Approximately 50K students have been applying every year since 2017, and only 21-22K are getting in.
  • From 2017 to now, the average MCAT score for students who got accepted to medical school has risen every year except for this past cycle.
  • For 2019 and 2020, the average MCAT score for admissions/matriculants remains at 511.5. In 2016 it was a 508, which shows how much the standard is changing.
  • On the other hand, the average GPA of students who got accepted to medical school has stayed at around a 3.7. This displays just how important a good MCAT score is to acceptance into medical school programs.

AAMC MCAT Stats - Applicants

Total Applicants

AAMC MCAT Stats - Admissions

It's sad but if your MCAT score doesn’t hit a certain threshold, they don’t even look at the rest of your application. It's a clear-cut filtering strategy.

Most of 60% of the premeds that get rejected from med-school every year are automatically disqualified by a computer because of their MCAT score.

Why are we telling you this?

Not to scare you, but to wake you up at the hidden opportunity that lies in front of you.

Think about it:

Most students aren’t going to be preparing with strategy. Most students aren’t going to follow the proven framework used by hundreds of top MCAT scorers. They’ll be studying the same way they’ve been studying for their college exams. But you know better now...

Whether it’s by luck or by your searching, you’ve come to this page. When you get a competitive MCAT score using proven top scorer strategy, you automatically get your application in front of an actual human being and not rejected by a computer.

Which means you'll move passed all the applicants who have spent years building up their application in areas where yours might be lacking. For example, if you have a low GPA, this is your opportunity to stand out.

On the other hand, if you're doing great in all other areas of your application, this is your opportunity to near-guarantee med-school acceptance.

What's the difference between this and the previous version Top Scorer MCAT Strategy Guide PDF?

If you've been with us for a while, you've seen that we've had other strategy resources over many years in the form of text and not videos. In short, the Complete MCAT Strategy Course is an evolved version of our older PDF guides and reports.

So while less than 25-30% is similar content to what you would have found in those resources, the majority of this course is never-before-seen strategies and section-specific approaches to dominating the MCAT.

In fact here's why everything in this course is far more effective than anything we've ever released...

  1. Reading takes way too much time.

Our downloadable resources have been super valuable to many students - but ONLY to those students who took the time to read them. We’ve realized a big barrier for a lot of students is having to plow through a lot of text of strategies, especially when you're already bombarded with so much content-based prep books that you need to go through. The last thing many of you want is extra reading.

  2. A "course" allows for a step-by-step system.

This course has been designed to have a logical strategic progression for you to go from not knowing anything about where to start studying for the MCAT and wanting quick hacks, tips, and tricks to get more answers right, to truly becoming a master of thinking like a top scorer/future doctor by the end of it. This is something that's very difficult to achieve through a written guide.

  3. Continuous improvements and upgrades.

This is a big one. There have been SO many times over the years that we've improved our resources and added amazing new strategies that we've found, but it was always so painful to think that all the students who already had downloaded the PDFs would not be able to get any new material. With an online course, we can go in and make improvements like adding lessons to modules, and the next time you login, you'll get all the fresh insights to add to your MCAT prep.

  4. Easier to learn with video AND text, as opposed to just text.

Let's face it, video is so much easier to digest and learn from. That already is a big factor for why we decided to transition to video. But we're not JUST giving video - each lesson has the written summary notes included, so as students complete the video lessons and read the notes below, they better absorb the strategies and insights of a top scorer to quickly start thinking like one.

How much time will it take me to go through this course?

There are a lot of videos in this course and unless you're starting MCAT prep from scratch, we don't expect you'll go through all of them.

If you're already in the middle of MCAT prep, we recommend going through the course selectively. In fact, we have a full lesson at the beginning guiding you on how to go through this course based on how much time you have left, what you're scoring, your weakest sections, your schedule, and many more factors like what your score goal is.

Essentially, the less amount of time you have before test date, the more videos you'll go through in the first day. You can get through a lot of the strategy videos in a day or two if you wanted (we'd only recommend that if you're short on time). The dissections however, you'll need to space out to one or two per day. There's zero fluff and pure strategies in every video. We've kept them all succinct. You'll be able to apply strategies from the very first module.

Also, the videos have the "Play Speed Controller" feature so you can technically watch videos at 2x speed.

Lastly, if you know anything about us, you know we're huge on productivity. We're huge on "high yield" and focusing on the easiest actions that deliver the greatest results. Which is exactly what has led us to focus our entire mission around "strategy".

If there's one thing we know without a shadow of a doubt, understanding study and testing strategies for this exam as soon as possible, is an investment. It will SAVE you time from having to figure it all out on your own.

It is THE smartest way to approach the MCAT. No question.

How are the live sessions conducted?

The live office hour sessions will be a weekly online group call with an MCAT Mastery Mentor. They'll be answering questions as they come up but also doing live passage breakdowns. You'll receive a link to join the call the day before. Recordings will be available to view if you're not able to attend.

I need this course but I can't afford the full price. Do you offer a payment plan option?

Yes! If you click on the button underneath the package of your choice, you'll be taken to the checkout page. You'll then be able to see the different payment plan options! You'll also see a way to use the PayPal "pay in 4" or in 6 months with no interest option.

I’m on the fence and I'm not sure if this course is right for me. What do you suggest?

Well we’d ask ourselves these questions…

Have you started studying already?

If you have, then how is your progress going?

How are you feeling about your performance on the MCAT overall?

Are you feeling confident that you can achieve your MCAT score goal?

Before we even begin getting into the questions, we’ll just remind you that you don’t need to be on the fence at all - you can literally get the course, and if you don’t feel it’s worth it for you, just ask for your money back.

You have no risk to just check out the other side of the fence, and if you don’t like it, get back to your side!

If you haven’t already started studying, the benefit of getting the course is that there’s no guessing, no wasting time.

You’ll know exactly what you need to do, and exactly how top-scorers on the MCAT approach this process.

If you’re still unsure, then try to study on your own. Who knows - maybe you don’t need a step-by-step process. Maybe you’re retaining all the information, making the most efficient use of your time, and seeing scores increase with every practice exam.

If you’re not seeing progress, aren’t feeling confident, and lacking in performance, then you need to change something. Fast.

Albert Einstein said that “insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.”

Something needs to change in your MCAT studying process.

The question is what do you change?

The answer… is in the Complete MCAT Strategy Course.

Does this course come with any AAMC material?

No this course doesn't come with ANY AAMC material.

You'll need to get the practice passages/exams yourself from the AAMC website to benefit from the dissections. The dissections will not show the passages as that would infringe on copyright.

If you haven't already however, we highly recommend you get all the AAMC questions available, regardless of whether you enrol in this course, as those are going to be the most representative of your actual MCAT!

Will this course help nontraditional students?

YES! We welcome and love working with nontraditional students. Several of the mentors on the team were also nontraditional students when taking the MCAT, so we can definitely relate. We all credit strategy to getting us to a competitive score because it's the strategy that helps you master content easier when you haven't seen this much science-heavy material in a long time (or ever!). It's the strategy that's going to get you comfortable and able to apply your knowledge to passage-based exams, for a 7.5 hour exam. It's the strategy that's going to help you plan your prep properly and optimize accordingly. It's scary going towards your doctor dream but having to face the hardest exam ever (which deters even traditional students!). So we completely get it. This course will make this exam a lot less intimidating. If you fall under the 'nontrad' category, your level of passion and dedication towards beating this exam inspires us. We've worked with many in the past in improving their scores and through this course, are excited to help you too!

Will this course help students who have special accommodations?

Yes definitely! We've worked with many students who need MCAT accommodations and have guided them through that process as well. This course was designed to do the same. We understand how frustrating it might be when you're trying to make progress on the MCAT but feel like you're at a disadvantage. Learning such an overwhelming amount of content, or having to focus for all 7.5 hours, is likely more difficult for you than everyone else taking the MCAT. You're the person we've ESPECIALLY made this course for because it's the strategy that's going to help you level the playing field. It's the strategy that's going to help you learn quicker, apply better, and achieve a competitive MCAT score.

Who is this course for? Who has this material helped in the past?

Here's who the strategies in this guide have worked for. Anyone who:

  • Is scoring 500 or less on the MCAT and needs a FAST score improvement of at least 10 points
  • Has already written the MCAT before and suffered a low score
  • Doesn’t know how to start studying for the MCAT
  • Is not seeing scores improve consistently with every practice exam
  • Wants to score close to or higher than 510
  • Feels stressed or discouraged about the MCAT
  • Wants to avoid the same mistakes most re-testers make
  • Is overwhelmed with the amount of material required to learn and apply
  • Is not retaining enough information
  • Is struggling with finishing the exam on time
  • Is finding time to be a huge barrier and is feeling like time is running out fast
  • Is feeling like they’ve got a later start than everybody else

Can you tell me more about MCAT Mastery?

Since 2014 we've helped thousands of premeds and MCAT writers improve their MCAT score, who were once exactly where you are now; standing face to face with the biggest challenge of their premed careers.

We conduct ongoing research and hold paid interviews with 515+ MCAT scorers to bring you the most credible, most proven MCAT prep strategies in the world. We also bring in our own MCAT prep experiences and strategies and how 30+ mentors on the team scored competitively on the MCAT. Unlike most prep companies, we understand exactly what it's like to be in your shoes. We know the pressure is intense, the worry is never-ending, the study days are long, and it feels like the MCAT is getting closer by the second.

When you use our resources and start seeing an improvement in your MCAT score, you'll realize that med-school isn't some distant goal. It's closer than ever before and it's well within your reach. We created MCAT Mastery to show you how you can get to the point where you have your choice of which school's invitation you want to accept.

It starts with being a little strategic and smarter in your approach in preparing for the MCAT, the most important and most competitive factor in determining your med-school admission.

What if the information inside doesn’t work for me?

We offer a 100% money back guarantee. If within the next 30 days, you apply the strategies in this course and don't see an improvement in your MCAT score or performance, you can ask for your money back and we'll happily give you a refund.

How does this compare to all the other MCAT prep and strategy courses out there?

There are two types of MCAT prep companies you will find online. We have seen it all - not only because it's our responsibility as we're serving you, but ALSO because we were in your shoes looking for help when we were studying.

The first is the obvious - big name MCAT prep companies. Their focus is on content primarily, not strategy, which is interesting because the MCAT is 70% 'how you think' and 30% 'what you know'. But guess what? The money is in the content and prep books (many of us pay an arm and a leg to get their courses/books). So that's what they stick to. They eat our arms and legs for breakfast.

The second are the very few companies like ours, who also offer "MCAT strategy" help.

Here's where we differ:

The common story there is a student in med-school who did well on the MCAT and wants to give back, so he/she creates content on how to study for the MCAT and calls it MCAT strategy. Which is awesome, but it's just one person's method unfortunately.

Sometimes we see an MCAT strategy course or a CARS strategy course by a top MCAT scorer who didn't get into med-school, or is in med-school and is doing it as a side-hustle, but then they have the audacity to charge ridiculous prices.

Again this doesn't discount what they know, but the longer they stay away from medicine, the relatability factor is lost. They don't really get where you're coming from anymore.

Also the few companies, courses, and tutors who focus on critical thinking and strategy, maybe have one or two instructors (who may or may not have gotten a high MCAT score) who tell you what strategies they applied for their MCAT, or the strategies they are told to teach.

That doesn’t compare to what we do at MCAT Mastery:

  • We bring you strategies from hundreds of top MCAT scorers and only provide you with the most common, most recommended ones that have the highest probability of working because they’ve been proven multiple times.
  • PLUS, you're not learning from just one, or two, top scorers - you're learning from an entire army of future doctors who are passionate about seeing you make it through this journey.
  • You have dozens of MCAT Strategy Instructors who scored competitively on the MCAT, actually struggled through the journey, increased their scores quickly, and have tutored many students along the way so you know they not only can relate, are credible, but they also know how to teach.

Again, we don't want to waste your time or your money. We just want you to know the best way to study for the MCAT so you can spend as much time as possible ACTUALLY studying for the MCAT so you can get into med-school.
